It is an area with a high potential with tourism with its archeological remains reflecting the culture and art of civilizations of thousands of years, centennial buildings, caves formed in millions of years, thermal riches and natural beauties, archeological sites, traditional handicrafts maintained for centuries with hard work and meticulousness, fairy chimneys, open air temples and cuisine. Our city is a paradise for tourism with many historical and natural beauties sought by local and foreign tourists alike "except for the sea".
With tourism assets such as thermal springs, rich natural structure, historical works, diversity in alternative tourism, culture and faith tourism, festivals and celebrations, Afyonkarahisar is a junction at the west end of Anatolia, it acts as a natural gate connecting the east to the west and the north to the south through roads and railways. In terms of the thermal tourism, which has become very important recently as an alternative to the sun and sea tourism and which is a part of health tourism, our city has become the “THERMAL CAPITAL OF TURKEY”.
