Zafer Airport Overcomes Disabilities

Zafer Regional Airport earns the "Disabled-Friendly Airport" status…

IC İçtaş Zafer Bölgesel Havaalanı Yatırım İşletme A.Ş. is now entitled to the “Disabled-Friendly Airport” certificate within the scope of the "Disabled-Friendly Airport" project of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime and Communications.

Zafer Airport, which has been opened just recently, has become included into the Disabled-Friendly Airport Project, which has been realized in order to allow the passengers with disabilities to benefit from airport transport without experiencing any difficulty.

The operator of Zafer Airport, IC İÇTAŞ Zafer Bölgesel Havaalanı Yatırım İşletme A.Ş., applied to General Directorate of Civil Aviation for Disabled-Friendly Airport Project on 8 November 2012 before the airport was opened. Following reviews by General Directorate of Civil Aviation, it was found that Zafer Airport met the criteria sought in the project and fulfilled all the requirements.

“Disabled-Friendly Airport” certificate of IC İçtaş Zafer Bölgesel Havaalanı Yatırım İşletme A.Ş. was presented by Bilal Ekşi, General Director of Civil Aviation, and Özgü SARIÜNAL, Acting President of the Airports Department, to Abdullah KELEŞ of IC Holding during a ceremony held in Ankara.

The number of businesses awarded the title "Disabled-Friendly Airport" has become 10 with the certificate awarded to Zafer Airport, the first Regional Airport in Turkey serving Kütahya, Afyonkarahisar and Uşak cities
